DATE: Thursday, November 19, 2020
TIME: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Pacific)
The California Primary Care Association is working with the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) on a national Health Professions Education & Training (HP-ET) Initiative. Our goal is to enhance health centers’ capabilities to recruit, develop, and retain their workforce by exposing health and allied health professions trainees to education and training programs conducted at health centers.
The HP-ET Initiative uses the Readiness to Train Assessment Tool (RTAT™) developed by Community Health Center (CHC), Inc., to help health centers assess and improve their readiness to engage in health professions training programs. CPCA and HRSA are strongly encouraging all community health centers to complete the RTAT. It will provide valuable individual insight to health centers' recruitment and training capabilities. CPCA will use the RTAT results to help health centers develop a targeted strategic workforce plan that will include health professions trainings and pipeline programs, as well as offer training/technical assistance to help achieve workforce goals.
CPCA is hosting office hours to answer questions and provide additional information to health center staff as they complete the RTAT. We will provide additional context for this national initiative, review the seven subscales of the RTAT, and provide a space for health centers to get started. Join CPCA and your health center colleagues for this office hour!
