As you heard last week, California Governor Jerry Brown signed three bills into law that will increase access to healthcare for Californians seeking care at community health centers. You can read our press release that describes the bills and their impact here.
These bills would not have been signed into law without you, our health center advocates. With you as our champions, we were able to make positive changes that will help the lives of our patients, statewide. An achievement for which we can all be proud.
Now that the bills have been signed, we ask that you take a moment to thank the legislators who authored the bills. This is an important part of the process that recognizes their commitment to our cause and helps us collectively continue to build a strong relationship.
Click these links to download template thank you letters for AB 1863, AB 2048 and AB 2053 and use them to share your gratitude with Assemblymember Wood, Assemblymember Gray, and Assemblymember Gonzalez. Be sure to include information about your health center so that they learn the impact of their work in your community.
Email a copy of each letter to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to (916) 440-8172 so we can bundle them and share them personally with the author’s offices. Deadline for submission to us is COB October 13, 2016.
Next week, we will be seeking thank you letters for the Governor and legislators who authored sponsored bills that were not signed into law. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Beth Malinowski at email@example.com.
