CPCA is an active and strong advocate in state legislative policy. During a two-year session, CPCA sponsors various pieces of legislation designed to protect the viability of California's Community Clinics and Health Centers, as well as to enhance their mission to serve the millions of patients that walk through their doors. Additionally, CPCA analyzes and takes positions on numerous non-sponsored legislation that tangentially affect our members. Both sponsored and non-sponsored legislation positions are determined by CPCA's large and diverse Legislative Committee and Board of Directors.
What happens in the state legislature, in the governor's office, and at state agencies can affect every community clinic and health center in the state. Find out what is going on at the state Capitol. For more information, view the legislative calendar.
